MIEKE VAN HALSEMA

Mieke Van Halsema is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, CA with a current focus in photo, video, and audio production.

Raised in the Boston Hardcore scene, she grew up documenting Copley Square skaters, punk shows, and bike messengers with disposable cameras. TV in the home was replaced by the printed fantasy worlds of Juergen Teller, Bruce Weber, Grace Coddington, and Mario Testino.

After attending Fordham University in NYC she fell into Assistant Styling with internships at Sonia Rykiel and Gucci Group, ultimately landing in Documentary Production, as a Freelance Producer with Vice Media for over a decade. Collaborating with brands including Nike, Ralph Lauren, BMW, Google, Sony, Uniqlo, Amazon, Samsung, Aveeno and Allergan, she was part of the nucleus teams behind the pilot programming of the VICE Television Network.  

She leads Physical Production under her Production House 3XLPROCLUB whose current clients include legendary Dutch rave promoters Multigroove and their brands Gabberland and Hellbound.

She is available for work world wide.
